dzisiaj podczas kopiowania gekosale z partycji /home [/dev/sda11] na partycje /var/www [/dev/sda8] transfer wynosił zaledwie 150KB/s :/
Dysk jest na SATA SEAGATE 160GB 7200 obr./min. Dysk zamontowany w laptopie ASUS F3e

Szczerze to wcześniej nie zwracałem na to uwagi. Jak coś kopiowałem przeważnie szedłem zapalić albo zrobić coś do picia... No i w sumie za bardzo nic nie kopiowałem...
Teraz dopiero zauważyłem przy kopiowaniu gekosale... Nic nie było zmieniane w konfiguracji...
Teraz zrobiłem jeszcze takie coś.
Z partycji /home [/dev/sda11] kopiowałem plik *.zip o rozmiarze 2088MB na partycje /var/www [/dev/sda8] transfer wynosił ponad 60MB/s
Dlaczego dysk ma problem z kopiowaniem gekosale? Rozumiem jest tam pełno mały plików, ale żeby aż tak wolno to trwało? Bo 150KB/s to, że tak powiem skandal... :/

Po smarcie sądzę iż dysk niedługo będzie nadawał się do wyrzucenia.
Lepiej zrób backup danych.

On nie musi wiedzieć co to znaczy . Można napisać że smartctl pokazuje że dysk pracował 12845 godzin , jak pracował 24/24 ( mało realne ) to ma najmniej 535 dni pracy .

No dobra ale ja i tak ciekaw jestem gdzie torentow sie dopatrzyl tej nadchodzacej smierci dysku... Bo duza ilosc godzin to dla mnie zaden argument na smierc.

Może i być błąd z godzinami , ale jest dużo uruchomień , nawet 10x dziennie daje ponad 100 dni (nie wiadomo kiedy kupiony );

Dzisiaj jadę do sklepu dowiedzieć się o co chodzi...
Za dysk zapłaciłem 149 złotych więc cena normalna... Możliwe, że ten dysk jest Certified_Repaired tak jak napisał jawojx
Prośba jeszcze do użytkownika torrentow po czym takie stwierdzenie, że dysk nie długo będzie umierał... Bo patrze na te statystyki i nie wiem po czym takie stwierdzenie...

Czy ty kopiowałeś to w konsoli czy menadżerze graficznym plików , może to wcale nie była wina dysku , czy to się powtarza ? Zrób podobne kopiowanie jeszcze raz , jakieś inne kopiowania w menadżerze i konsoli , duże jednolite pliki i foldery z dużą ilością plików .
Folderów z duża ilością podfolderów i plików nie powinno kopiować się w menadżerach graficznych ( zwłaszcza w „ciężkich” systemowych ), powinno się tego unikać. Już nie pamiętam jak to było ( nie chce mi się szukać ) ale tam chodzi oto że menadżery graficzne budują jakieś podlinkowania czy odniesienia zwał jak zwał , nic nie pamiętam , a to spowalnia kopiowanie i nie potrzebnie zapycha partycje , ilość podlinkowań jest ograniczona na partycji , co tak to było chyba.
W konsoli prędkość można zmierzyć np. rsync-iem ;
rsync -avh Gekosale-1.4.3 /cel/test
Pamiętać skasować folder test przed ponowna próbą .Przy kłopotach sprawdzić w top ( lub inaczej ) czy nie wisi jakiś proces zabierając czas CPU .Prędkość kopiowania czasami będzie znacznie różna gdy podglądasz w menadżerze graficznym czy robisz to tylko w konsoli bez podglądu w menadżerze graficznym.

Dobra już wszystko działa normalnie :)
A ja jestem kretynem :/ zamiast najpierw rozpakować gekosale wchodziłem przez mc do archiwum zip zaznaczałem pliki i kopiowałem tam gdzie chciałem...
Teraz zrobiłem tak, że najpierw rozpakowałem gekosale i później zacząłem kopiować do /var/www transfer wynosi 45MB/s i trwa to chwilę...
Ehhhhh nie raz mam takie jakieś głupie nawyki :/ Sprawa wydaję się być rozwiązana...
Chociaż z tego co pamiętam to jak korzystałem z linuksa parę lat temu zawsze chyba tak robiłem i było OK...

A wracając do tamtych wyników SMART, to sam SMART nie jest żadnym oficjalnym standardem i producenci do tego podchodzą bardzo różnie.
Samymi jego wynikami się nie sugeruj bo mogą znacząco odbiegać od rzeczywistości.
Musiałbyś jeszcze sprawdzić jakimiś innymi narzędziami. Najlepiej od samego producenta.

Pewnie, ale SmartMon jest trochę nieczytelny dla noobów, a Palimpsest ma ładne ikonki, od razu informuje co mu się nie podoba itd. (różne kolory i inaczej się czyta)
