kontroler SATA i nie widzi ATA

Witam
mam kontroler SATA na PCI i podłączony do niego dysk 250Gb Samsunga i na nim Debiana.
W czasie instalacji instalator widział dwa dyski 18Gb IBM'a na ATA100 i 250Gb na SATA.
A teraz nawet CD nie widzi na ATA.
Co jest grane? Co mam zrobić aby znów mieć dostęp do CD - dokładnie nagrywarki CD-RW i drugiego dysku na małe backupy?
P.S. Dlaczego on widzi SATA jako SCSI?

? Dyski SATA sa wykrywane jako sda, sdb (czyli tak jak SCSI), a nie ja zwykle ATA, czyli hda, hdb.
