Posiadam monitor Samsung Syncmaster 913V. Na obecną chwilę posiadam kartę GF800GT i zainstalowane sterowniki z repozytorium. Nie mogę ustawić rozdzielczości wyższej niż 1024x768. Próbowałem sobie pomóc tym sposobem http://dug.net.pl/tekst/125/nvidia___konfiguracja_r … zania_obrazu/ ale nie działa.
Na karcie ATI i zamkniętych sterownikach do niej również występował ten problem.
Dodam jeszcze, że identyczny problem mam na innych systemach, w tym na Windowsie.

Jakie sterowniki z repozytorium (nvidia, nouveau)?
EDIT: Zakładając, że zamknięte… Spróbuj zdefiniować na sztywno tak jak tutaj podałem: dug.net.pl/tekst/142#xorg_conf.

Sterowniki zamknięte. Nie za bardzo rozumiem co mam zrobić według tego linku. Chodzi Ci o zmienienie pliku xorg.conf? Nic to nie pomaga.
Mam jeszcze do wyboru rozdzielczość 1360x768 jeśli ma to jakieś znaczenie.

Niestety w niczym to nie pomaga. Wszystko zachowuje się tak jak przy standardowym xorg.conf

No ciekawe… Próbuje "1280x1024_60", ale ją odrzuca. W ogóle kiedykolwiek miałeś na tym monitorze wyższą rozdzielczość?

Miałem. Udało mi się taką ustawić na sterownikach do ATI, zarówno na Ubuntu jak i Windows 7. Było z tym dużo kombinacji ale ostatecznie działała taka rozdzielczość.

Po zrobieniu jak mówisz doszła mi rozdzielczość 1152x864.
Próbowałem samemu poeksperymentować i do standardowego xorga dodałem Twój wpis i stary sposób.

1280x960 1440x900 takie rozdzielczości doszły i działają. :O

To zamknięty temat?
Na pewno w nvidia-settings można ustawić rozdzielczości - na moim laptopie wyższe niż laptop obsługuje (ale nie wiem czy działają :D)

Nie zamknięty. Cały czas próbuję uzyskać 1280x1024. W nvidia-settings pojawiły były tylko 1360x768, 1024x768 i niższe. Po tej zmianie w xorg, doszły 1280x960 i 1440x900.

Na takim nic nie pomogło. Za to znów pokombinowałem i udało się.
Osiągnąłem 1280x1024 z odświeżaniem 58Hz.

Nie dawało mi to spokoju, więc jeszcze pokombinowałem.

Teraz mogę ustawić 1280x1024 z odświeżaniem 60Hz lub 75Hz. Mogę nawet ustawić 1920x1200, ale aż tak szaleć nie potrzebuję...
Cel osiągnięty, problem rozwiązany.

Na przyszłość: Kup lepszy kabel Dsub w którym wszystkie istotne piny są połączone w tym te od transmisji parametrów.

Niestety muszę odświeżyć temat. Przesiadłem się na inny sprzęt, został tylko stary monitor. Posiadam teraz grafikę zintegrowaną na procesorze Celeron G530. Oczywiście próbowałem korzystać z wcześniejszych rozwiązań niestety w żaden sposób nie mogę wyłączyć EDID. W logu nawet nie ma informacji o próbie rozdzielczości większej niż 1024x768.

Trochę już czasu minęło od ostatniego posta, ale udało mi się rozwiązać problem.
Może w przyszłości się komuś to przyda.

I jeszcze tak w ramach ciekawostki powiem, że próbowałem instalować różne systemy. Ani "przyjazny użytkownikowi" Ubuntu ani Mint nie radziły sobie z automatycznym dostosowaniem ustawień pod moją grafikę i monitor. Za po PC-BSD9 bez żadnych kombinacji zaskoczył mnie rozdzielczością 1280x1024.
