Mam problem z urzadzeniem USB. Mianowicie jestem podlaczony do sieci prze iplus, modem option icon 225. Łącze sie przez skrypty i pppd. Siec mialem i wszytsko bylo ok az do w czoraj gdy sie bawilem by podlaczyc irda. zaladowalem moduly przez modcon do irdy i po tym chyba mi siadlo. po wykonaniu pppd call iplus otzrymuje komunikat: unrecognized option /dev/ttyUSB2. Rozumiem ze nie widzi portu usb. czy to mozliwe? pomozcie jak to ugryzc?

lsusb musisz wykonać jako root. Inaczej nie wszystko zobaczysz. Jaki jest pobór prądu przez modem? Jest to gdzieś napisane. W instrukcji modemu lub na jego etykiecie.

Ten dmesg to chyba nie jest wykonany tuż po podłączeniu modemu? Ostatnie pozycje wskazują na jakieś urządzenie blokowe (pendrive??).
Ja proponuję: uruchom w terminalu/konsoli z prawami roota
udevmonitor
. Następnie podłącz modem a to wszystko co wyświetli ten program prześlij tutaj. W czym jest problem żeby to połączenie internetowe zainstalować lub skonfigurować jeszcze raz?

Problem jest w tym ze nie mam w /dev/ ttyUSB zadnego. jak podpiolem modem do 2 kompa wsadzam modem to tworzy sie /dev/ttyUSBx, x=0,1,2.
W drugim kompie mam takie urzadzenie a w starym nie. tym samym nie mam sieci w starym bo nie widzi /dev/ttyUSB2 przynamiej pppd tak woła.. na dwoch kompach lenny siedzi. nie wiem co zrobilem ze popsulem komp1.

Czy lsusb podobne informacje pokazuje na obydwu komputerach przy podpiętym modemie.
Nie podałeś ważnej informacji modem jest zasilany z portu USB czy ma własny zasilacz (pytałem o pobór prądu przez modem).
Masz dwa komputery i urządzenie, które na jednym komputerze działa. Na drugim nie.
Pierwsza rzecz, to robisz porównanie oprogramowania na jednym i drugim komputerze, jakie jest potrzebne do uruchomienia modemu.

Porównaj wersje kernela. Na jednym i drugim komputerze:

aktualnie używane:

Masz większe możliwości ponieważ dysponujesz fizycznie urządzeniem.
W ostateczności możesz porównać całość wyników dpkg -l>programy.txt przekierowując wynik do pliku.

W załączonych listingach z udevmonitor brak jest informacji o ładowanych modułach do obsługi podłączanego
modemu. Których to możnaby się przekonać wykonując ten sam manewr na drugim komputerze.

torpeda80 twój kierunek postępowania powinien być taki porównać wersje kernela i sprawdzić dostępne moduły.
Modem nie posiada jakiś danych dla udev. Na komputerze masz jakąś starszą wersję systemu.
Mnie coś trochę rozjaśniło sytuację przejrzenie poniższych opisów:

Jeżeli w ogóle to jest problem z modułami bo usbserial jest na obu twoich komputerach.

wlasnie z tej instrukcji skorzystalem i mialem na obu komputerach internet. problem w tym, że teraz na kompie 1 = starym udev nie towrzy mi wogóle w katalogu /dev/
portu ttyUSB*. Nie powstaje mi to urzadzenie jak wloże moj modem (modem usb) do portu. Na drugim kompie wkladam modem i w dev tworzy sie ttyUSB0, ttyUSB1, ttyUSB2. i pppd odpala mi siec.
nie wiem co zrobilem ale nie tworzy mi urzadzen ttyUSB*.
