Ostatnio często mi się system wywiesza, gorzej niż Windows !!!. Czy da się w jakiś sposób sprawdzić, co powoduje zwieche ??. Nic wtedy nie pozostaje jak reset kompa !!.

wiele rzeczy może to powodować. koledze np wiatrak z procka zawiewał brudy na ram i ram mu się strasznie grzał. może to być grzanie się procka, słaby zasilacz, a nawet bateria na płycie głównej (mi się przez nią regularnie co 2-3 miesiące resetuje bios...przywykłem już).

skasowalem pakiet wireshark i jest ok ;/. Czy macie cos obcykanego w stylu wiresharka ??. A zawieszal sie tak ze nic nie reagowal na żadne klawisze.

Pomimo wszytko zapytam jeszcze, bo czasami się jednak wywiesi. Nie tak często jak był wireshark, ale jednak się czasami system wiesza. Czy mogę w jakiś sposób zapewnić większą jego stabilność ??.

Napisz coś więcej nt Debiana - stable, testing czy sid ? Czy ten problem jest od początku czy z czasem przyszedł ? czy na inncyh dystrybucjach ( LIVECD ) występuje ten problem ?
Poobserwuj zużycie procesora ( odpal top lub conky ) w momentach tych przycięć. Upewnij się czy ktoś Cię nie DDoS'uje.
top odrazu Ci pokaże , który proces jak coś najwięcej żre zasobów.

mi się też wied\szało debianisko ale wiedziałem że mój CD jest troche trefny - no i po wymianie już sięnie wiesza :) Najprawdopodobniej na 99% to gdzieś sprzęt szwankuje

Witam.
Debian stoi na nowym laptopie na którym vista działa bez problemu więc to na pewno nie sprzęt.
Wersja Debiana to etch a jajko : 2.6.24-1-686.
Wywiecha występuje po jakimś czasie gdy odpalę MRTG + Sniffera (obojętnie czy TCPDUMP czy WIRESHARK). Czasami się wywiesza na samym MRTG.
Korzystałem ze skryptu BiExi więc to sprawdzony skrypt. czasami brakuje mi rozwiązań rodem z Windowsa instalujesz i bez problemu działa.
Prosze o pomoc bo potrzebuje MRTG i Sniffa więc usunięcie pakietów jest niemożliwe.

sniffer na ogol uzywa niestandardowego trybu dzialania karty (zmusza ja do odbierania wszystkiego bez wzgledu na mac) i byc moze tu jest problem - moze karta sobie nie radzi ... zobacz czy w momecie zwiechu system wywala cos na konsole tekstowa ... zobacz tez ostatnie kilka wpisow w kernel.log i syslog przed zwisem ...
