Zapodalem sobie aptem takie oto jądro
apt-get install kernel-image-2.6.8-11-amd64-k8 (takowy proc tez posiadam)
i po sbootowaniu systemu z nowego jądra wszytsko sie uruchamia z małymi wyjątaki mianowicie:
iptables wywala błąda mimo ze zaladowalem takie same modułu z sekcji
/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter takie same jak na poprzedni jajku gdzi ebylo ok. lecz błęda si enie pozbylem o to on:
ptables v1.2.11: can't initialize iptables table `filter': Module is wrong version Mon Aug 1 19:58:29 2005: Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded. Mon Aug 1 19:58:29 2005: iptables v1.2.11: can't initialize iptables table `filter': Module is wrong version ...itd...

Sprawdź jeszcze raz ścieżke do modułu jaki ładujesz. Osobiście raczej zawsze kompiluje jądro i iptables.
