Ten log jest ze startu ma sterowniku nv nie nvidia.
Osoboscie poleciłbym (moja preferowana metoda) wywalić wszystko co masz w paczkach o nazwie nvidia.
Zainstalować binarkę ze strony nvidii metodą klasyczną.
Tak jak uczynił to kolega wyzej.
Kwestia dobrania własciwego steru do karty.

Zainstalowalem stery 96.43.11 i X'y wstaly po restarcie :) Przy ponownym uruchamianiu pojawilo sie logo, a w prawym gornym rogu ekranu wyswietla sie teraz data (dzien i miesiac - wtf?). Niesety pare nimilych konsekwencji tez juz odczulem:
- oczojebne kolory (ta jasnosc/ostrosc - boli)
- brak polskich znakow (instalator musial cos skopac z inputem klawy w xorg.conf)
- ogromniaste czcionki
- ekran okolo 90% powierchni monitora - obciety z kazdej strony

Po zmianie ustawien za pomoca nvidia-settings kolory wyswietlaja sie poprawnie ale ekran mam wiekszy niz monitor - to sie nazywa fullscreen xD - i moge go sobie przesuwac najezdzajac myszka na krawedzi monitora. Co tu sie dzieje?

Już sobie poradziłem :D
Reinstall driver'ów, ponowne wygenerowanie xorg.conf i podmienienie sekcji "InputDevice" na wartości ze starego xorg.conf.backup.

Słuchajcie kochani, wreszcie przeszedłem z Ubuntu na Debiana, poradziłem sobie z uruchomieniem wifi (Intel 5100 - iwlagn), uporałem się z niedziałającymi DNS`ami, ale mam jeszcze problem z zainstalowaniem sterowników od Nvidii...
Aby mi działało Wifi zainstalowałem z Sid`a najnowszy kernel. Niestety przez to właśnie nie mogę zainstalować sterów grafiki...
Wypluwa mi:

Co mi proponujecie? Mam zainstalowane z repo linux-headers-2.6.29.1... Już kilka dni kombinuję i nie mogę wykombinować. Już nawet wywaliłem kernela instalowanego z repo i skonfigurowanego pode mnie zainstalowałem... I dalej to samo.
Doradźcie coś...

Na 2.6.29 (kompilowanym własnoręcznie ) się nvidia instaluje.
Proponuję zapodać jajko od siduxa.
