http://dug.net.pl/faq/index.php?kat=7&id=147

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

Zainstalowalem stery zgodnie z opisem Czadmana. Instalacja kończy się komunikatem:

Kod:

Inatallation complete!

zmieniłem

Kod:

Section "Device"
    Identifier "Generic Video Card"
    Driver "ati"
EndSection

na

Kod:

Section "Device"
    Identifier "Generic Video Card"
    Driver "fglrx"
EndSection

to

Kod:

Section "DRI"

        Mode 0666

EndSection

również mam dopisane.
Po restarcie w /var/log/XFRee86.o.log mam cos takiego:

Kod:

(WW) fglrx(0): * DRI initialization failed! *
(WW) fglrx(0): * (maybe driver kernel module missing or bad) *
(WW) fglrx(0): * 2D acceleraton available (MMIO) *
(WW) fglrx(0): * no 3D acceleration available *

Kod:

ja@debian:~$ glxinfo | egrep '(OpenGL|direct)'
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
direct rendering: No
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.3 Mesa 4.0.4
OpenGL extensions:

:-/

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

Terefere, po Twoim poleceniu:

Kod:

ja@debian:~$ aticonfig --initial=dual-head
Using XF86Config-4
Found fglrx primary device section

Kod:

Module Size Used by
fglrx 459084 0

Kod:

Identifier "Generic Video Card"

Ty miałeś troche inny.

Edit.

Zauwazylem jeszcze takie logi(wypisze wszytskie chronologicznie)

Kod:

(WW) fglrx: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:1:0:1) found
(WW) fglrx(0): Bad V_BIOS checksum

To jest identyfikator (nazwa), nie ma znaczenia.

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

<M> Direct Rendering Manager
<M>   ATI Radeon
Zobacz jeszcze czy masz w /etc/fstab coś takiego:

none /dev/shm tmpfs   defaults  0 0

Shm to jest wewnętrzny (jądra) system plików do zarządzania pamięcią wspódzieloną (szczegółow nie znam). Dri chyba tego wymaga do prawidłowego działania.

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

...Jądra 2.4.x
Character devices:  /dev/agpgart (AGP Support)

Device Drivers -->
Character devices:  /dev/agpgart (AGP Support)

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

Drm chyba nie trzeba, nie byłem pewien. :)

Apropos na stałe/moduły, ja preferuję moduły, zawsze łatwiej wyładować konfliktowy moduł niż rekompilować jądro.
Pod drugie mógłbyś spróbować na firmowym jaju.

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

No to wszystko w moim jaju pozostaje bez zmian.

Graphic support/Support for freame buffer devices/ATI radeon display support ?

Nie, w ogóle. Jest w konflikcie z fglrx.

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

Re: Pliki nagłówkowe i stery ATI

Na przkompilowanym jaju dalej lipa z lsmod:

Kod:

Module Size Used by
fglrx 459084 0
agpgart 34536 1 fglrx
