Zwisy dysku USB

Witam,
Od dłuższego czasu walczę z dyskiem USB, aby zmusić go do współpracy z moim serwerem  z Debianem na pokładzie. Niestety nieskutecznie... Otóż po kilku minutach od zamontowania dysk przestaje być widoczny w systemie, przy próbie dostępu do zamontowanej partycji pojawiają się błędy i/o. Przez pierwsze kilka minut mam dostęp do danych na dysku, potem przestaje być widoczny.
Partycję NTFS montuję za pomocą ntfs-3g:

Kod:

sudo ntfs-3g /dev/sdb5 /mnt/hdd

Dodam że dysk na laptopie z Win 7 śmiga wyśmienicie, mało tego pamięci typu flash na serwerze nie sprawiają problemów.

Czy miał ktoś podobne problemy z dyskami USB na Debianie? Poniżej szczegóły:

Nie miał żadnych problemów.
Czy na jakimś innym systemie ten dysk chodzi prawidłowo?

Ja bym radził na tym Debianie dać inne (świeże) jajo, np z Aptosida, i na nim spróbować.

A spróbuj z polecenia mount. I może coś za pomocą hdparma uda Ci się coś wykombinować - przejrzyj manuala.
