Problem z ALSA "surround51"

Ostatnimi czasy pojawił się u mnie problem podczas odtwarzania filmów. Po wybraniu w odtwarzaczu (VLC) opcji Urządzenie dźwiękowe -> 5.1 pojawia się komunikat:

Urządzenie dźwiękowe "surround51" jest już używane.
Błąd wyjścia dźwiękowego:
VLC nie mógł otworzyć urządzenia ALSA "surround51" (Urządzenie lub zasoby zajęte).

Jakiś czas temu działało to bez problemów i nie bardzo mam pomysł co mogło spowodować zmianę. Dawno nie używałem tej funkcji a aktualizacje robię w zasadzie codziennie (wheezy + kde 4.7.4 zainstalowany wg instrukcji stąd: http://pkg-kde.alioth.debian.org/kde47.html). Nie dłubałem ręcznie w żadnych plikach konfiguracyjnych od dźwięku ani nie zmieniałem ustawień w konfiguratorach graficznych. Przy ustawionym w VLC urządzeniu dźwiękowym 'stereo' działa bez problemu nawet przy odtwarzaniu z kilku źródeł dźwięku naraz (VLC, Amarok, dźwięki systemowe).

Najpierw sprawdź konsolpwym mplayerem

Ciekawe co nie działa po zamordowaniu knotify4 - dźwięk ostrzegający przy kasowaniu pliku zadziałał ;)

Wygląda na to, że problem znany i zgłoszony: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281961
Trzeba czekać na poprawkę a do tego czasu killować knotify4 jak się chce posłuchać dźwięku przestrzennego ;)
