Debian testing wieszający się X

Witam

Z tym problemem zmagam się od dłuższego czasu i prawdę powiedziawszy coraz bardziej mnie irytuje. Mianowicie po pewnym czasie pracy X zamiera, działa tylko kursor myszki. Operacje które rozpocząłem wcześniej, takie jak kopiowanie, działają dalej bez problemu. Nie mam też możliwości restartu serwera, klawiatura nie reaguje.
Największy problem to brak diagnozy, logi albo są czyste, albo ja nie potrafię nic znaleźć.
Fedora działa, windows działał (o tyle o ile :) ), xubuntu 8.10 zdechł. Problem nie jest zależny od środowiska, pojawia się z xorg.conf jak i z samym HAL, peryferia nie powodują problemu (przynajmniej myszka, tablet, dysk zewnętrzny).
na jajku 2.6.30-1-686 czasem się wiesza, na 2.6.30-2-686 wiesza się w parę sekund.
Zabawcie się w dr. Hausa i spróbujcie postawić diagnozę. Jeżeli jakiegoś loga trzeba, proszę pisać.

Wrzuć gdzieś etc/X11/xorg.conf oraz /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Stable,testing czy sid??
Czyli gdy serwer X jest wyłączony nie ma zawiechy??


Jeśli mam wysłuchiwać czyichś poglądów, to niech będą one wypowiedziane w formie twierdzącej, wątpliwości sam mam dosyć.

Ja bym zrobił tak: obadałbym czy na vesie się wiesza, może to wina sterowników (o intelowskich nie mam pojęcia, jak większość mam nv). Jak to nie pomoże to w xorg.conf zostawiłbym minimalne wpisy do odpalenia środowiska graficznego i spróbowałbym na sterach intela i vesie czy się dalej wiesza. Na razie nie mam więcej pomysłów.


Jeśli mam wysłuchiwać czyichś poglądów, to niech będą one wypowiedziane w formie twierdzącej, wątpliwości sam mam dosyć.

Gdybym się nie chciał wyrychlać, to napisałbym, żebyś spróbował odpalić bez xorg.conf zmieniając mu nazwę jako root:)

Problem nie leży po stronie xorg.conf. Wiesza się pod HAL jak i korzystając z xorg.conf. Compizów bajerozów też nie mam.

Dobrze bylo wy wyeliminowac problem sprzetowy, przetestowac grafike jakims 3dmarkiem ale windy niestety nie masz.
Ale za to mozna przynajmniej sprawdzic dysk i ram, sciagnij hiren's boot cd i przetestuj ram i dysk ( np. memtest, czy test hd drive). Dobrze bylo by tez przetestowac sprzet pod duzym obciazeniem, na windzie zrobil bym to prime, ale jak na linuksie to zrobic to nie mam pojecia xd.
Sciagnij sysv-rc-conf i powylaczaj wszystko co sie da ( od drukarek przez bluetooth do Bóg wie czego xd), moze ktores procesy sie gryza ze soba ( ja mialem taki problem).

Dzięki za radę, ale testowałem i odłączałem już nieraz. Na razie nie mogę nic znaleźć po stronie sprzętu. W moim laptopie więcej już nie odłącze, swego czasu winda chodziła bez zwiech (O ile można nazwać mulenie w2000 przy 512 ram) fedora też, albo to kwestia przypadku bo była u mnie tylko 3 dni.

Kernel 2.6.30-1 i wyżej sypie i tyle. Najlepiej działa 2.6.30-1  z siduxa ale i tak od czasu do czasu wali zwiechę. 2.6.30-5 to wiesza już przy logowaniu w gdm. Próbowałem sam kompilować jądro ale opornie to idzie, jak do tej pory nie wygenerowałem nawet initramfs.

Macie jakieś pomysły?

Witam.
Mam dokładnie ten sam problem i śmiem twierdzić iż sterowniki intela w testing, unstable są po prostu do dupy.

Borykając się z tym problemem na sid`zie stweirdziłem że zainstaluje Lenny`ego. Zainstalowałem było prawie ok ale drażniła mnie pamieciożerność Xorga jak i calego systemu (230mb na starcie gdzie sid potrzebuje tylko 120). Wymieszałem repo Lenny+Squeeze zainstalowałem nowego xorg`a, stery intela... I oczywiście zwis.
Pobawiłem się sysv, wyrzuciłem praktycznie wszystko niby lepiej ale zwisy jak były tak są.

Jak na razie jade na "vesa" szukajac rozwiązania tego problemu

i wsyztko działa idealnie - zero zawiasów (czasami chwilowe zamrożenia ale tylko przy duzym obciążeniu), zuzycie pamięci w normie (po starcie systemu conky pokazuje ~40MB ale sporo bajerów mi się odpala) może gdzieś w którjeś  z tych paczek jest problem.

Sprawdzałem paczki które podałeś i okazało się że u mnie dwóch z nich brakowało
xserver-xorg-video-fbdev
libdbus-1-dev
kilka jest o jedno oczko wyżej (podejrzewam że dzisiejsza aktualizacja)

Jeszcze jakbyś mógł podać cały konfig xorg`a byłbym wdzięczny.

vascom to jest mój cały xorg.conf ;)) reszta leci na halu. Mialem problemy z klawiaturą więc musiałem ręcznie wymusić na nim takie ustawienia. A dzisiaj przy aktualizacji to nie aktualizowało mi tylko perlowy parser html'a. Spróbuj zrobić aktualizację. Może faktycznie pomoże. Co do paczki developrerskiej dbusa to AFAIR nie jest Ci niezbędna - ja musiałem zainstalować przy jakiejś tam kompilacji jako zależność.

A w ten deseń ;)) Bawiłeś sie w instalację paczek z SIDa ? Jak tak to może jakieś pozostałości. Ja pusciłem aktualizację i nic mi nie znalazł...

No właśnie w tym momencie siedze na sid`zie:) Lenny+sqeeze potem będe poprawiał jak na razie sprawdzam sid`a:) Od 18 min działa :)

No coż po 45min zawisł ale nie jestem pewny czy go audacious nie powiesił bo uruchamiając go nie odpalił się a kilka sek. później zawisł

Może będę miał dobre wiadomości.  Siedzę na sidzie od pół godziny na jądrze 2.6.30.1 sidux, akceleracja  EXA i nie wiesza się nic, a obciążam jak mogę. Potestuję i doniosę jak się sprawy mają.


Sprawy źle się mają, zwisy jak były tak są.

Dokładnie tak jak mówisz wogóle nie zachęca, ja zainstalowałem Lenny, wymieszałem repo od squeeze przyszpilając xorg`a i stery intela z wersji Lenny i oczywiście wszystko ładnie chodzi wystarczyło odpineskować xorg`a, stery podnieść ich wersje do tej z aqueeze i problem na nowo.
Niestety jestem zmuszony obejść się smakiem jeśli chodzi o sid`a.

P.S. Namówiłem szwagra na instalacje debiana na desktopie z karta Ati, wpakuje mu sid`a i zapewne będzie działał prawidłowo :(

Wczoraj zainstalowałem lennego i upgradowłam squeeze sid zostawiając wszystkie Xy z lennego. Dzisiaj skompilowałem kernel do swoich potrzeb wszystko śmiga i świeci, jeszcze tylko ustawienia konta sobie przeniose i koniec na razie kłopotów :). Znowu będę chodził po domu jak głupi bo mi system będzie działał jak trzeba.
