debian/xfce4 nvidia Xorg nie działa

Witam,
szukałem, kombinowałem, reinstalowałem... wiedza coraz większa a efektów brak.
otóż:
po zainstalowaniu drivera nvidia-driver  375.26-2 Xorg nie startuje... a właściwie startuje lecz go nie widać ;)
jakkolwiek dziwnie by to nie brzmiało, to jednak jest pewna różnica jeśli coś przestaje działać, lub działa dalej.

uparłem sie trochę na te drivery od NVIDII z powodu openGL jakoś przy nouveau jest gorzej (gracze bywają wybredni).

mój xorg.conf, bez tego Xorg działa, ale bez nvidii i bez openGL

instalacja w zasadzie nówka sztuka (nowa wersja), ciężko się teraz wycofać, chyba że ktoś zaproponuje dystrybucję która zadziała, chociaż niewydaje mi się żeby to był problem w dystrybucji.

Jakie masz środowisko zainstalowane, a ważniejsze jaki menadżer logowania. Miałem problemy na lightdm przy nowych sterownikach nVidia.
No i może ten xorg.conf sobie zapisz jako backup, a zrób taki prościutki jak tu:

Kernel 4.9.0-1 dla 64 bit nie buduje modułu dla nvidii. Zainstaluj kernel z aptosida - powinny skończyć się problemy.
Niedawno to przerabiałem.

U mnie moduły dla 4.9.0-1 budują się prawidłowo właśnie sprawdziłem, bo też używam aptosida. Wydaje się że tu moduły ładują się prawidłowo. Z tym co ja napisałem też bywa ciekawie, z nVidią jest różnie zależy od sprzętu/zestawu/sterownika na jednym gdm3, na drugim lightdm potrafi robić problemy.

tego próbowałem, po prostu dowolne włączenie nvidii uniemożliwia używanie Xorg

Merle : wprawdzie mam ligtdm, ale nie sądzę żeby miało to coś wspólnego, sam Xorg nie działa (startx pomija przecież dm)

No właśnie domyślnie nie. Zrób tak jak mówię. Zainstaluj gmd3 czy kdm czy jakiś prosty jak twoje środowisko nie wymaga, przekonfiguruj, wybierz restartuj system.

Nie sprawdzałem czy ten błąd z ligtdm wysteruje na kernelu 4.9.0-8.slh.1-aptosid-amd64 zaraz to sprawdzę, ale to był błąd ligtdm/sterownik nVidia, nie kernela.

No i jest tak, na 4.9.0-8.slh.1-aptosid-amd64 działa z lightdm i  375.26-2 prawidłowo, czyli to co proponował Bodzio powinno pomóc, nie musi czytaj dalej. Zaraz sprawdzę z Kernelem z Debiana, bo ja miąłem takie same objawy.

No i na kernelu Z Debiana 4.9.0-1-amd64 z lightdm i  375.26-2, też działa. Sprawdzałem na dwóch komputerach teraz. Ale miałem identyczne problemy na kilku laptopach i musiałem zamienić lightdm.

Jak robiłem te próby teraz to jeszcze zobaczyłem czego nie napisałem. Teraz z tym głupkowatym systemd trzeba pamiętać by wyłączyć przed rekonfiguracją lightdm.

I uruchomić gdm3. ( I tu dopiero po zatrzymaniu lightdm i przed uruchomieniem gdm3 jest możliwość startx bez lightdm na próbę).

pierwszy test kiepsko,
przepięcie na gdm3 z włączonym driverem nVidii skutkuje miganiem ekranu i w zasadzie niemożnoscią zalogowania na konsoli, restart w single.

generalnie gdm3 nawet bez sterowników niechce działać, wywala błąd o niemożności zalogowania i can't resolve (graficznie, nie znalazłem tego w logu)

czyli trzeba przetestować aptosid, ale pytanie gdzie to pobrac i jak zbudować,
znalazłem https://github.com/fullstory/linux-aptosid/tree/master/debian ale nigdy nie budowałem jądra w ten sposób,
pierwsza próba (na podstawie tego co zrozumiałem) udowodniła tylko moja niewiedzę w tej materii:

Dobra chyba wiem gdzie jest problem, ja jestem ślepy, a ty pisz że masz dwie karty :), czyli pewnie jakiś laptop z optimusem. Jaki to laptop. Ślepy jestem podwójnie bo jaki laptop to jest, też było "Laptop Lenowo Ideapad Y510p".

Przepraszam za pierwszy mylny trop, ale dobrze jest pisać na początku wpisu, a nawet w tytule o laptopie. Co nie umniejsza mojej winy i tego że nieuważnie przeczytałem watek.

po użyciu konfiguracji LightDM z https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA_Optimus

driver już był, ale nieaktywny wystarczyło dodać:

pozostaje skonfigurować ekrany, ale to już detal.

Dzięki bardzo za pomocne wskazówki, będę tu częściej zaglądał, może nadaży się okazja odwdzięczyć się :)

podsumuję całość bo właśnie to robiłem na nowo w docelowej instalacji:
używam SparkyLinux i inne dystrybucje mogą się różnić (mp koniecznosc instalacji bumblebee czy tam driverów optimus)
po instalacji systemu:
nvidia-detect - pokazuje ze mam karte (no ameryki nie odkryło, taka formalnosc)
potrzebne numerki BusID

i tyle, po restarcie systemu śmiga
