Problem z ustawieniem większej rozdzielczości na sterowniku fglrx

Witam.
Na wstępie powiem, że instalowałem już najróżniejsze sterowniki, zarówno te z repozytorium jak i te ze strony ati, próbowałem nawet instalować przez skrypt sgfxi.
O co chodzi, a no o to, że nie mogę zmienić rozdzielczości ekranu. Po wygenerowaniu ,,modeline'' przez xrandr, nie mogę przełączyć się na tą rozdzielczość.

Trochę faktów:

Xorg w aktualnej wersji, nagłówki jądra pobrane
Załamuje już ręce, na rozdzielczości 1024x768 nie da się pracować po prostu. Bardzo chciałbym móc ustawić 1280x1024

Dodam tylko, że przed instalacją sterowników wykrywało monitor na DVI-1 (wtedy mogłem ustawić tą rozdzielczość przez xrandr).


Udało mi się dojść do tego, że problem jest po stronie EDID, ustawiłem w xorg.conf w sekcji ,,Device'':

Ale to też nie do końca rozwiązuje mój problem, teraz maksymalna rozdzielczość jaką mogę ustawić to 1280x800 i powiem szczerze, że wygląda to śmiesznie.

Może coś w CustomEDID? Nie chciałbym niczego zepsuć.


Sprawdziłem na sterowniku ,,ati'' i działa. Na fglrx nie mogę ustawić tej rozdzielczości. Zwariowałem...

Odinstalowałem sterowniki fglrx i obecnie rozdzielczość można już ustawić korzystając ze sterownika 'ati'. Nie rozumiem tylko dlaczego teraz wyjście wideo oznaczone jest jako DVI-0 a na sterownikach ,,fglrx'' jest to CRT1.
Oczywiście obecnie polecenie glxgears daje wynik ~120FPS.

Musi chyba być jakieś rozwiązanie, żeby wszystko działało jak należy?

Możesz spróbować nowszej wersji Xorga (instrukcja: http://x.debian.net/reference/squeeze-backports.html) i/lub kernela, ale to jeśli nikt nic sensownego nie doradzi… Problem w tym, że tu ludzie albo nie mają Radeonów, albo się nie przyznają. ;) Generalnie nikt nic o nich nie wie. O.o „Co to Radeon?”

powiem szczerze, że jest to bardzo dziwne... na żadnych ze sterowników fglrx nie mogę zmienić rozdzielczości na większą niż 1024x768 bez wpisania opcji IgnoreEDID, ale tak czy inaczej, nie mogę ustawić tej co chcę. Dopiero po zmianie sterownika z fglrx na ati problem ustępuje... Jednak wydajność pozostawia wiele do życzenia wtedy...

Innymi słowy - tak źle i tak niedobrze.

Może ktoś coś jeszcze wymyśli? :>

czy może mieć to związek z wyjściem? nie rozumiem, dlaczego na sterownikach fglrx wykrywa monitor na CRT1 a na sterach 'ati' na DVI-0. O_o

tak jak napisał ArnVaker, nikt tutaj niema ati albo wstyd mu sie przyznać x)
ta firma niestety ma tragiczne wsparcie i są takie akcje, że trzeba żonglować sterownikami między fglx a ati
najprościej kupić coś z nvidi ale to nie rozwiązanie tylko ominięcie
spróbuj jeszcze z innym xorgiem

no dobra, dzięki, ale kupno innej karty graficznej nie wchodzi w gre :>

Spróbuje jeszcze coś pokombinować, jak mi się uda to dam znać.

Najbardziej interesuje mnie dlaczego po instalacji sterów fglrx wykrywa mi monitor na CRT1 a nie na DVI-0 jak w przypadku, gdy korzystam ze sterownika 'ati' - da się to jakoś manualnie zmienić?

zamień CRT1 na CRT0 albo wogóle usuń --output, nigdy tego nie używałem

also na tty7+ po wyłączenie xorga jest czarny ekran, konsola jest na tty1-6, przełacz sie na którąś - crt+alt+f1-6

czy z --output czy bez jest to samo... już wcześniej tego próbowałem... I już wcześniej pisałem, że nie wiem skąd się wzieło to CRT na sterowniku fglrx... na sterowniku ATI jest DVI-0

byłoby fajnie, gdyby nie dotyczyło to laptopa z kartą zintegrowaną. Moja karta jest na wejściu PCI-E a nie AGP... poza tym dotyczy to sterownika 'radeon'
